Terms of Use
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the My Movemates mobile app and related services. My Movemates is operated by AveeDev Digital Inc. ("we", "us", or "our").
By using My Movemates, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. About My Movemates
My Movemates helps users build a daily mobility habit through guided exercises, personalized routines, goal plans and check-ins, guided habit progress, streaks and streak recovery, progress and body-area tracking, reminders, widgets, manual workout logs, health-workout import and export, friends, achievements, social encouragement, pokes, referrals, rankings, Move Coins, Karma Coins, profile photos, Photo Memory and Route Memory sharing tools, and related habit-building features.
2. Wellness Information, Not Medical Advice
My Movemates provides general wellness, mobility, and habit-building information. The app is not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, physical therapy, or a substitute for a qualified healthcare professional.
You are responsible for deciding whether exercises or activities are appropriate for you. Stop using an exercise or activity if you feel pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, unusual discomfort, or any other concerning symptom. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before using the app if you have an injury, medical condition, mobility limitation, recent surgery, pregnancy-related concern, or any uncertainty about whether movement is safe for you.
3. Accounts and Sign-In
Some app features require signing in with Google, Sign in with Apple, or another supported login method. You are responsible for maintaining access to the account you use to sign in.
You agree to provide accurate information where required and to use aliases, profile details, and social features responsibly. You may not impersonate another person, mislead others about your identity, or use another person's account without permission.
4. Social Features and Acceptable Use
My Movemates includes social and accountability features such as friends, leaderboards, referrals, Thanks, pokes, achievement notifications, cheers, and achievement replies.
Information shown through social features, including aliases, profile photos, rankings, achievements, replies, and progress-related messages, may be visible to your accepted friends or other users where the feature indicates this. You are responsible for content you intentionally share outside My Movemates.
My Movemates does not currently provide open-text user-to-user messaging. Poke messages and achievement replies or cheers are selected from options provided by the app.
Profile photos and private workout notes are optional. Profile photos are displayed through the app's profile and friend features; private workout notes are not sent to other users or exported to a health platform.
You agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, abuse, spam, or target other users.
- Send offensive, discriminatory, sexually explicit, violent, or unlawful content.
- Use the app to collect information about other users without permission.
- Attempt to interfere with, reverse engineer, overload, abuse, or bypass app systems.
- Use the app for unlawful, harmful, or unauthorized purposes.
We may remove content, restrict features, suspend access, or terminate an account if we believe these Terms are violated or if action is needed to protect users, the app, or our services.
5. In-App Points, Rewards, and Rankings
Move Coins, Karma Coins, streaks, ranks, leaderboards, unlocks, and similar app mechanics are for habit-building and entertainment within My Movemates. They have no cash value, are not property, and cannot be sold, transferred for money, redeemed for money, or exchanged outside the app.
We may adjust, reset, remove, or change these mechanics to correct errors, prevent abuse, improve the app, or operate the service.
6. Health and Device Permissions
My Movemates may request permission to read steps and workout records from Apple Health on iOS or Health Connect on Android, including an eligible workout's route when you choose Route Memory, and may request write permission for My Movemates workouts or supplied distance data when you enable export. It may also request notification permissions for reminders and social notifications. You can grant, deny, or revoke these permissions in your device settings.
Imported workouts remain source-owned and read-only in My Movemates. Completed My Movemates follow-along or timed DIY sessions may be written to the selected health platform when export is enabled. In-app exercise runs are labelled Functional Strength Training, and distance or laps are written only when supplied by the user. Changing access does not delete workouts from My Movemates or the relevant health platform.
Route Memory reads an existing workout route after you choose the feature; it does not record live location. The app omits at least the first and last 200 metres from the displayed route, keeps route coordinates on your device, and does not upload or retain them. You are responsible for reviewing the resulting card before sharing it outside My Movemates.
Exercise routines, goal plans, focus suggestions, and other recommendations are automated wellness suggestions based on information available to the app. They may not account for every injury, condition, limitation, or change in your circumstances and are not medical recommendations.
My Movemates does not control Apple Health, Health Connect, your operating system, or other third-party services. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and policies.
7. Third-Party Services and Content
My Movemates may use or link to third-party services and content, including Google Sign-In, Sign in with Apple, Firebase services, Google Analytics for Firebase, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Apple Health, Health Connect, Apple Maps, Google Maps, YouTube, Azure Blob Storage for profile photos, app stores, and hosting or database providers.
Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services, content, availability, policies, or practices.
Some third-party content used by My Movemates is subject to licenses that require or expressly request attribution. Exercise catalog content adapted from wger and its contributors may be licensed under CC BY-SA 3.0 , CC BY-SA 4.0 , or CC0. Applicable creator, source, and license information is retained with the relevant records. Exercise video creator credit and links to original YouTube content are shown in the app when available. This attribution statement is limited to third-party content that requires or requests credit; it is not a complete list of operational services or software dependencies.
The DIY Exercises activity picker also uses the “elliptical” icon by Samy Menai from The Noun Project under an attribution-required license.
8. App Changes and Availability
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of My Movemates at any time. We may also add, remove, or change features, exercises, recommendations, rewards, social features, or content.
We try to keep the app reliable, but we do not guarantee that the app will always be available, error-free, secure, or uninterrupted.
9. Intellectual Property
My Movemates, including its app design, branding, text, graphics, software, features, and related materials, is owned by AveeDev Digital Inc. or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.
You may use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes as permitted by these Terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or create derivative works from the app or related materials unless we give written permission or the law allows it.
10. Feedback
If you send feedback, suggestions, bug reports, ideas, or other comments, you allow us to use them without restriction or compensation to improve, develop, operate, and promote My Movemates.
11. Privacy and Account Deletion
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information. Our Account Deletion Policy explains how account deletion works and what data is deleted or retained.
12. Termination
You may stop using the app at any time. You may initiate account deletion in the app from Settings.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the app or related services if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk for other users or our services, or used the app in a harmful or unlawful way.
13. Disclaimers
My Movemates is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, and non-infringement.
We do not guarantee any particular health, fitness, mobility, habit, wellness, or progress outcome from using the app.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AveeDev Digital Inc. and its owners, officers, employees, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, goodwill, profits, or business, arising from or related to your use of My Movemates.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some limitations may not apply to you.
15. Platform Terms
If you download My Movemates through Apple App Store, Google Play, or another app store, that store's terms may also apply. The app store provider is not responsible for providing support or maintenance for My Movemates unless required by its own terms or applicable law.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of My Movemates after updated Terms are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
