Account Deletion Policy
My Movemates is operated by AveeDev Digital Inc.
If you use My Movemates and would like to delete your account and associated data, follow the steps below.
1. How to Initiate Account Deletion
You can initiate account deletion directly in the My Movemates app:
- Sign in to My Movemates.
- Open Settings.
- Choose Delete Account.
- Complete the confirmation flow by entering the requested confirmation text.
- Tap Delete to submit the deletion request.
The in-app deletion flow verifies that you are signed in before submitting the deletion request.
If you cannot access the app, email us at aveedevbiz@gmail.com.
Use the subject line: My Movemates - Delete my account
In the email, include:
- The Google or Apple email address you used to sign in to My Movemates, or the Apple private relay email address associated with your account if you used Sign in with Apple.
- A short confirmation such as: "I request deletion of my My Movemates account and associated data."
Important: For email-based support requests, we can only process deletion requests where you can verify ownership of the account.
2. What Will Be Deleted or De-Identified
After we verify your request, we will delete or permanently de-identify personal data associated with your My Movemates account in systems we control, including where applicable:
- Your My Movemates account identifiers, Firebase user identifier, public user identifier, alias record, and profile data.
- Progress and stats stored with your account, such as completed workouts, set history, timestamps, streaks, Move Coins, Karma Coins, active days, active hours, body-part counters, step-claim records, and related sync events.
- Personalization data, such as avatar preference, selected focus areas, focus-area goals, caution areas, caution handling, and routine filters.
- Leaderboard rows, cached ranking data, and display data tied to your account, where deletion or de-identification is technically feasible.
- Friends, referral, Thanks, and social records tied to your account, such as friend requests, accepted friend relationships, referral/Thanks records, and related timestamps or status fields.
- Poke data tied to your account, such as sent or received pokes, selected poke language/tone, poke message text, read/open/reply status, reply Move Coins, reply muscle names, and related Karma Coin credits.
- Notification-device records, such as Firebase Cloud Messaging device tokens, platform, timezone offset, app version, and notification routing identifiers.
- In-app exercise availability feedback linked to your account, including the submitted message and related personalization/filter/shortfall context.
For records that involve another user, such as friend relationships, referral/Thanks records, or poke records, we may delete the record entirely or de-identify your side of the record while preserving limited data needed for the other user's account integrity, fraud prevention, dispute handling, or technical consistency.
Account deletion also deletes the Firebase Authentication user account associated with your My Movemates account where technically available.
3. Step Count and Health Data
My Movemates may read step-count data from Apple Health on iOS or Health Connect on Android if you grant permission. My Movemates currently uses Health Data as read-only data. Based on the current app implementation, My Movemates does not directly upload your raw step-count history from Apple Health or Health Connect to our backend.
If we store any step-related server data, such as a step reward claim or derived activity record, it will be deleted or de-identified with your account. Deleting your My Movemates account does not delete data retained by Apple Health, Health Connect, your device operating system, Google, Apple, or other third-party services. You can manage those permissions and records in your device settings.
4. Local Device Data
Account deletion removes or de-identifies applicable server-side data in systems we control. It does not automatically erase all data stored locally on your device.
To remove local My Movemates data from your device, you can:
- Sign out of My Movemates.
- Clear the app's local storage or app data in your device settings.
- Uninstall the app.
- Remove Home Screen or Lock Screen widgets.
- Revoke Health Data and notification permissions in your device settings.
Local data may include workout progress, cached exercise recommendations, cached personalized routines, cached leaderboard or friends snapshots, widget snapshots, notification state, app-tour state, and other app preferences.
5. Analytics and Third-Party Identifier Data
My Movemates may use Firebase Analytics to understand app usage, feature performance, reliability, and launch-readiness. On Android, Firebase Analytics may use the Android Advertising ID when available for analytics and measurement. My Movemates does not show third-party ads and does not use the Android Advertising ID to target advertising in the app.
Account deletion removes or de-identifies applicable account-level data in systems we control. Aggregated, de-identified, or non-account-level analytics data may be retained according to Firebase Analytics or Google Analytics for Firebase settings and policies. Deleting your My Movemates account does not delete data retained by Google, Apple, your device operating system, Apple Health, Health Connect, or other third-party services. You can reset or delete your Android Advertising ID in Android device settings.
6. What May Be Retained
In some cases, we may retain limited information for legitimate purposes such as:
- Security, fraud prevention, rate limiting, or abuse detection.
- Legal or regulatory compliance.
- Backup integrity, audit logs, and operational records.
- Records needed to document and process privacy, deletion, support, or creator/rights-holder takedown requests.
- Records needed to protect the rights, safety, security, or integrity of My Movemates, AveeDev Digital Inc., users, creators, rights-holders, or the public.
If retained, such data will be kept only as long as necessary for the applicable purpose and then deleted or de-identified unless a longer retention period is required by law.
7. Deletion Timeframe
We aim to complete verified account deletion requests within 30 days after verification, unless a longer period is required by law, security, fraud prevention, backup integrity, dispute handling, or technical requirements.
